prtInputMediaDimFeedDirDeclared
Module: Printer-MIB
OID (symbolic): Printer-MIB::prtInputMediaDimFeedDirDeclared
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.43.8.2.1.4
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: Integer32
Access: read-write
Description: This object provides the value of the declared dimension, in the feed direction, of the media that is (or, if empty, was or will be) in this input sub-unit. The feed direction is the direction in which the media is fed on this sub-unit. This dimension is measured in input sub-unit dimensional units (controlled by prtInputDimUnit, which uses PrtMediaUnitTC). If this input sub-unit can reliably sense this value, the value is sensed by the printer and may not be changed by management requests. Otherwise, the value may be changed. The value (-1) means other and specifically means that this sub-unit places no restriction on this parameter. The value (-2) indicates unknown.
What is prtInputMediaDimFeedDirDeclared?
This value reports (and, if the tray can't sense media itself, lets an admin set) the length of the media in the feed direction for a given input tray, measured in the units given by prtInputDimUnit; -1 means "other/no restriction" and -2 means "unknown". For a manual tray without sensors, an admin would set this to match the actual paper length loaded, e.g. for legal-size stock.
