prvtEventPropagationRemotePeerID

Module: PRVT-SWITCH-EV-PROP-MIB

OID (symbolic): PRVT-SWITCH-EV-PROP-MIB::prvtEventPropagationRemotePeerID

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.738.1.5.166.1.1.1.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: DisplayString

Access: read-write

Description: Remote peer ID

What is prvtEventPropagationRemotePeerID?

This read-write DisplayString of up to 32 characters holds the identifier of the remote peer that the propagation profile is monitoring. Its meaning depends entirely on the paired prvtEventPropagationRemotePeerType, since the field can hold a MAC address, interface ID, IPv4 address, or MEP ID depending on that setting. For example, if RemotePeerType is set to ipv4Address(5), this field might hold a string like "192.0.2.10" identifying the specific peer device.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.738.1.5.166.1.1.1.1.4
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> PRVT-SWITCH-EV-PROP-MIB::prvtEventPropagationRemotePeerID

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.738.1.5.166.1.1.1.1.4.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> PRVT-SWITCH-EV-PROP-MIB::prvtEventPropagationRemotePeerID.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.738.1.5.166.1.1.1.1.4.1 s <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> prvtEventPropagationRemotePeerID.1
