This OID sets the guard timer, in 10-millisecond increments from 10 to 2000, that this R-APS instance uses to ignore outdated R-APS messages after a topology change. An engineer tunes this timer to prevent the ring from reacting to stale protection messages still circulating from before the last switchover.
