Description: Checksum of the entire CURRENT Policy Database including (but not limited to) the following : o ipPolicyControlActiveGeneralList o ipPolicyControlAllowedPolicyManagers o ipPolicyListCookie & ipPolicyListTrackChanges of the active list (if exists) o ipPolicyDiffServControlChecksum o routeGroupRouterMode additional configuration fields that are important enough to cause re-configuration by RNR.

Any change in any of the above policy parmeters shall result in a change in the value of this field. Polling of this value shall reveal any change of policy configuration without the need for polling of the entire policy database.

What is ipPolicyControlCurrentChecksum?

This reports a checksum covering the entire current policy database on this slot, including the active list, allowed-managers setting, and DiffServ configuration. An admin or management application polls just this one value instead of every policy MIB item to detect whether anything in the policy configuration has changed.
