pnniIfMobilityEnabled

Module: PNNI-MOB-EXT-MIB

OID (symbolic): PNNI-MOB-EXT-MIB::pnniIfMobilityEnabled

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.353.5.4.2.1.2.1.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TruthValue

Access: read-write

Description: Indicates whether this interface is configured as a PNNI mobility enabled interface or not. When the interface is configured as mobility enabled, the mobile switch considers the nodal hierarchy list received from this interface as a candidate for the decision process.

What is pnniIfMobilityEnabled?

This controls whether a specific PNNI interface is treated as mobility-enabled, meaning nodal hierarchy lists it receives are considered by the mobile switch's decision process. An admin enables this on interfaces connecting to mobile PNNI peers so their advertised nodal hierarchy information can actually influence this switch's mobility decisions, since it's disabled by default. For example, setting this to true on an interface facing a mobile access point lets that interface's incoming nodal hierarchy lists compete for selection as the switch's outside nodal hierarchy list.
