The count of the total number of connection setup messages including DTL stacks originated by this switching system that have cranked back to this switching system at all levels of the hierarchy.

What is pnniCrankbackCountOriginator?

This OID counts how many times connection setup requests failed and were rerouted back to this switch to find an alternate path. It measures connection reliability and network stability; high counts suggest congestion or failing links. A network engineer would monitor this during planned maintenance to assess whether the network is absorbing rerouted traffic gracefully.
