What is pnniAltRouteCountBorder?
This read-only counter reports the total number of alternate partial Designated Transit Lists (DTL) that the PNNI (Private Network-to-Network Interface) switching system has computed and included in signalling messages when acting as an entry border node. Operators monitor this to understand the routing complexity and redundancy being offered in ATM networks. Higher counts indicate the system is providing more alternate paths for resilience.
