Description:
An ospfVirtIfConfigError trap signifies that a packet has been received on a virtual interface from a router whose configuration parameters conflict with this router's configuration parameters. Note that the event optionMismatch should cause a trap only if it prevents an adjacency from forming.
Examples
Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' OSPF-TRAP-MIB::ospfVirtIfConfigError snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.2.1.14.16.2.5
Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):
