snmphost

Module: OPENNMS-MIB

OID (symbolic): OPENNMS-MIB::snmphost

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5813.20.1.12

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: DisplayString

Access: read-only

Description: This is the SNMP host for the event. In the case of an SNMP Trap that was received by OpenNMS, it will reflect the device that generated the trap. In the case of a trap generated by OpenNMS, such as forwarding a nodeLostService event to another system, it will reflect the OpenNMS server.

What is snmphost?

The SNMP host associated with this event: for a trap OpenNMS received, this is the device that sent it; for a trap OpenNMS itself generates (e.g. forwarding a nodeLostService event), this is the OpenNMS server.

Examples

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5813.20.1.12
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> OPENNMS-MIB::snmphost

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5813.20.1.12.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> OPENNMS-MIB::snmphost.1
