What is oacEventSeverityLevel?

This object carries an OBJECT IDENTIFIER representing the severity level of an event, inserted as the last variable binding whenever the device generates an SNMPv2 trap that requires a severity indication. A monitoring system parses this OID value to automatically triage incoming alerts by urgency, such as routing critical-severity traps to a pager and informational ones to a log file. For example, seeing a severity OID corresponding to 'critical' attached to a link-down trap would cause the monitoring platform to escalate it immediately.
