mscTrkHighSpeedAlarmThreshold

Module: Nortel-MsCarrier-MscPassport-TrunksMIB

OID (symbolic): Nortel-MsCarrier-MscPassport-TrunksMIB::mscTrkHighSpeedAlarmThreshold

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.562.36.2.1.60.109.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Description: This attribute specifies the upper end of the range of normal speeds for this Trunk. If the measuredSpeedToIf exceeds this value the Trunk component generates a SET alarm. When the measuredSpeedToIf returns to or falls below the value of this attribute, the Trunk component will generate a CLEAR alarm.

What is mscTrkHighSpeedAlarmThreshold?

The upper bound of normal speed (bit/s, default the maximum Unsigned32 value) for this Trunk; if mscTrkMeasuredSpeedToIf exceeds it a SET alarm is raised, and clears once the speed falls back to or below this value. It's less commonly tightened than the low-speed threshold, but useful for flagging an unexpected speed increase that might indicate a misconfiguration.
