Description: This attribute indicates an upper bound on the gateway cost metric of a route, which is the sum of the gateway cost metrics of all gateway links on the route. Gateway cost metrics are provisioned under Trunk Address component of a gateway link specifying a gateway costs of reaching an address through the link.

What is mscHtdsPlcMaximumAcceptableGatewayCost?

An upper bound (default 2048) on the sum of gateway-link cost metrics for this path's route, analogous to mscHtdsPlcMaximumAcceptableCost but applied to gateway costs (provisioned per gateway link's Trunk Address component) rather than ordinary trunk costs. Relevant specifically for paths that must traverse one or more gateway links to reach their destination.
