Description: This attribute records the number of times that the bus tap has detected a loss of the fundamental clock signal used by the bus. Each occurrence may result in the loss of one or more cells or frames. This type of event may occur during normal operation of the module, for example when switching from one of the bus's clock sources to the other; it may also be caused by a hardware fault. The attribute's value wraps around to zero when it exceeds the maximum permitted value.

What is mscShelfCardBusTapClockErrors?

A wrapping counter of how many times this bus tap lost the bus's fundamental clock signal, each occurrence risking dropped cells or frames; occasional increments can be normal (e.g. during a clock source switchover) but a fast-rising count points to a hardware fault.
