mscApsRevertive

Module: Nortel-MsCarrier-MscPassport-ApsMIB

OID (symbolic): Nortel-MsCarrier-MscPassport-ApsMIB::mscApsRevertive

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.562.36.2.1.134.11.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: This attribute specifies whether revertive switching is to be used. It has possible values of no or yes.

When this attribute is no, the Aps will not revert the receive active line from protection back to working when a working line request is cleared.

When this attribute is yes, the Aps will revert the receive active line from protection back to working when a working line request is cleared, after the provisioned waitToRestorePeriod has expired.

Note that it is acceptable for the near end and far end to be provisioned with a mix of revertive and nonrevertive switching.

What is mscApsRevertive?

This read-write value (no/yes, default no) controls whether APS automatically reverts the active line from protection back to working once the working line recovers and the wait-to-restore period expires. Set this to yes if you want traffic to automatically move back to the primary (working) line after a fault clears, rather than staying on protection indefinitely.
