vrSresRouteTableNumEntries

Module: Nortel-Magellan-Passport-SourceRouteEndStationMIB

OID (symbolic): Nortel-Magellan-Passport-SourceRouteEndStationMIB::vrSresRouteTableNumEntries

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.562.2.4.1.100.13.11.1.1

Description: This attribute identifies the maximum number of entries in the SourceRouteEndStation routing table. Before you change it, check the network configuration to see how many protocol ports, such as IpPort or IpxPort, under Vr Pp have endStationSupport set to enable. The value of routeTableNumEntries also depends on the VirtualRouter attribute sresMaxHeapSpace.

Consider the following attributes of the SourceRouteEndStation component when adjusting this number: - rtEntriesUsed - rtEntriesFree - rtEntriesDenied

What is vrSresRouteTableNumEntries?

Sets the maximum number of entries allowed in this Sres component's source-routing table, defaulting to 5000, bounded by the virtual router's sresMaxHeapSpace and by how many ports have endStationSupport enabled. An admin raises this when rtEntriesDenied is climbing, indicating the current table size is too small for the number of source-routed end stations being learned.
