Module: Nortel-Magellan-Passport-DcmeMIB

OID (symbolic): Nortel-Magellan-Passport-DcmeMIB::dcmeProfileEmissionPriority

Description: This attribute specifies the urgency with which packets on the path are emitted by the trunks on the route. An emissionPriority of 0 indicates the highest emission priority, while 2 indicates the lowest emission priority. Packets with a higher emissionPriority (or numerically less) are serviced and sent out before the packets with a lower emissionPriority (or numerically higher).

What is dcmeProfileEmissionPriority?

Specifies the urgency, 0 (highest) to 2 (lowest), with which packets on a path using this profile are emitted by the trunks along its route, with higher-priority packets serviced ahead of lower-priority ones. Admins raise this for profiles carrying delay-sensitive traffic that should be serviced ahead of best-effort traffic on shared trunks.
