btdsPlcOptimization

Module: Nortel-Magellan-Passport-BitTransparentMIB

OID (symbolic): Nortel-Magellan-Passport-BitTransparentMIB::btdsPlcOptimization

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.562.2.4.1.81.3.10.1.19

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: This attribute is used to specify whether this connection should attempt to optimize its path when requested by the routing PORS component. Every path is as optimal as it can be when it is established, but as network traffic patterns and configurations change this path may no longer be as optimal as it could be. The PORS connection manager on a module requests circuits to optimize at the optimization interval.

What is btdsPlcOptimization?

When enabled, allows this path to be rerouted by the network's periodic route-optimization process as topology and traffic patterns change; an admin disables it for a path that must stay on a specific route once established.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.562.2.4.1.81.3.10.1.19
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> Nortel-Magellan-Passport-BitTransparentMIB::btdsPlcOptimization

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.562.2.4.1.81.3.10.1.19.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> Nortel-Magellan-Passport-BitTransparentMIB::btdsPlcOptimization.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.562.2.4.1.81.3.10.1.19.1 i <value>
