Description: This attribute is the count of the number of times the path chosen during route selection could not be instantiated. This count should be three or below if the network is performing adequately. A high value indicates that the route selection is often performed using an out-of-date view of available network bandwidth and/or topology. This attribute will only increase at the calling end of the connection. This attribute is reset each time a path reconnects and stops counting when it reaches its maximum value.

What is btdsLCoRetryCount?

Counts, at the calling end only, how many times route selection produced a path that couldn't actually be instantiated; the source notes this should normally stay at three or below, with a high value pointing at route selection working from stale bandwidth/topology data, and it resets each time the path reconnects.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.562.2.4.1.81.4.10.1.18
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> Nortel-Magellan-Passport-BitTransparentMIB::btdsLCoRetryCount

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.562.2.4.1.81.4.10.1.18.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> Nortel-Magellan-Passport-BitTransparentMIB::btdsLCoRetryCount.1

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> btdsLCoRetryCount.1
