What is gponTrapInstance?
This notification varbind carries the alarm instance identifier -- which managed object (such as a specific ONU or port) detected the fault -- for a GPON trap. Admins use it in the trap payload to jump straight to the affected device rather than searching the whole OLT. For example, an alarm-manager rule would key its ticket on this value to attach the alert to the correct ONU record.
