What is nncExtPositionProgModule?
This read-write enumerated value specifies which daughter-module type is programmed, meaning administratively configured, for a given position's card, choosing among values such as noModule, thinModule, tpModule, auiModule, nullAUIModule, foirlModule, or hubModule. Admins set this to declare the expected sub-module for a slot, which the system compares against nncExtPositionCurrentModule to catch a mismatched or missing module. For instance (illustrative), setting nncExtPositionProgModule to tpModule for a slot declares that an Ethernet twisted-pair module is expected to be plugged into that slot's card.
