memoryAvailableBytes

Module: NEWEXPOSE-MIB

OID (symbolic): NEWEXPOSE-MIB::memoryAvailableBytes

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.944.2.1.10.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Counter

Access: read-only

Description: Available Bytes displays the size of the virtual memory currently on the Zeroed, Free, and Standby lists. Zeroed and Free memory is ready for use, with Zeroed memory cleared to zeros. Standby memory is memory removed from a process's Working Set but still available. Notice that this is an instantaneous count, not an average over the time interval.

What is memoryAvailableBytes?

This Counter reports the size, in bytes, of virtual memory currently on the Windows Zeroed, Free, and Standby lists on the monitored server. Admins watch this as an instantaneous (not averaged) snapshot of memory readily available for use, where Standby memory has been removed from a process's working set but is still reclaimable. For example, a sharply falling memoryAvailableBytes value over successive polls could warn an admin that the server is running low on readily usable memory.
