quotaExceeded

Module: NETWORK-APPLIANCE-MIB

OID (symbolic): NETWORK-APPLIANCE-MIB::quotaExceeded

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.789.0.176

Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE

Description: One of the quota limits has been exceeded. The trap includes a string describing the specific event which triggered the trap. The string is structured in the following form:

Quota Event: status=exceeded, type={hard|soft|threshold}, user={username}, volume={volume}, limit_item={files|disk}, limit_value={#files|#kilobytes} [ , treeid={tree-id} ] [ , vfiler={vfiler} ]

An example of a complete message would be:

Quota Event: status=exceeded, type=soft, user=admin, volume=vol1, limit_item=disk, limit_value=1000000, treeid=8

Additional key=value items may, in the future, be appended to this message.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' NETWORK-APPLIANCE-MIB::quotaExceeded
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.789.0.176

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public

Example snmptrapd log entry:

zoo11-linux.zoo [UDP: [192.168.30.111]:56846->[192.168.30.10]:162]:
  DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance = Timeticks: (18625550) 2 days, 3:44:15.50
  SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID.0 = OID: NETWORK-APPLIANCE-MIB::quotaExceeded

SNMPv3 example:

snmptrap -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3user -a SHA -A "AuthPass1" -x AES -X "PrivPass1" <manager> '' NETWORK-APPLIANCE-MIB::quotaExceeded
