ethIfDefaultEthernetPriority

Module: NETI-ETH-MIB

OID (symbolic): NETI-ETH-MIB::ethIfDefaultEthernetPriority

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2928.2.2.1.3.2.1.14

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-write

Description: Specifies the Ethernet priority assigned to a frame that has arrived via this port, and that does not have a VLAN tag.

Priority will only be assigned to the frame if it should be sent out tagged on another port. This object is not affecting the traffic class assigned to the frame. The traffic class will be assigned to the frame based on the DSCP (if ethIfPriorityMode is set to `diffserv(2)') or to the value of ethIfDefaultTrafficClass.

What is ethIfDefaultEthernetPriority?

The 802.1p priority value assigned to an untagged frame arriving on this interface, used only if the frame is subsequently sent out tagged on another port; does not by itself determine the frame's traffic class, which instead comes from ethIfDefaultTrafficClass or DSCP-based mapping.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2928.2.2.1.3.2.1.14
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> NETI-ETH-MIB::ethIfDefaultEthernetPriority

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2928.2.2.1.3.2.1.14.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> NETI-ETH-MIB::ethIfDefaultEthernetPriority.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2928.2.2.1.3.2.1.14.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> ethIfDefaultEthernetPriority.1
