Module: NBS-OPTIC-MIB

OID (symbolic): NBS-OPTIC-MIB::nbsOpticPortTxStatusOper

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.629.213.1.2.1.22

Description: This object indicates whether this port's transmitter is currently enabled or disabled. It is an alias to the object nbsCmmcPortEnableOper.

If the transmitter cannot be independently disabled, this object is notSupported(1).

If the transmitter is currently disabled, this value will be outOfService(2).

If the transmitter is currently enabled, this value will be inService(3).

What is nbsOpticPortTxStatusOper?

This read-only INTEGER reports whether a fiber optic port's transmitter is currently enabled or disabled, aliased to nbsCmmcPortEnableOper, returning notSupported(1), outOfService(2), or inService(3). Admins check this to confirm that an administrative disable (via nbsOpticPortTxStatusAdmin) actually took effect on the hardware. For example, after setting the admin object to outOfService(2), the admin polls this operational object and expects to see outOfService(2) confirming the transmitter is really off.
