What is nbsCmmcTrapPortInserted?
This is an alert notification that fires when a technician physically inserts a hot-swappable network port module into the chassis while the device is running. It confirms successful hardware insertion and allows the system to prepare the new port for operation. An operator would see this notification as confirmation that a port module installation was recognized by the device.
Examples
Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' NBS-CMMC-MIB::nbsCmmcTrapPortInserted snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.629.200.13.0.25
Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):
snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public
