Description: This object enables or disables SNMPv3 protocol handling.
What is nbsCmmcSysSnmpV3?
This object enables or disables SNMPv3 protocol support on the device, allowing an operator to control whether the network element accepts SNMPv3 management requests. SNMPv3 provides encryption and authentication for secure SNMP management traffic. An operator would enable this to enhance security of management access and disable it only when SNMPv1 or SNMPv2c is the mandatory protocol in the network.
