nbsCmmcSysLockTypes

Module: NBS-CMMC-MIB

OID (symbolic): NBS-CMMC-MIB::nbsCmmcSysLockTypes

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.629.200.2.25

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: If enabled, forces the system only to allow writes to slots/ports that are detected as the same type as the configured type. Use nbsCmmcSlotClearType to clear the configured type.

When this object is enabled(3) and a module is inserted that is incompatible with the configured type, Agent should issue the notification nbsCmmcTrapSlotModuleLocked instead of nbsCmmcTrapSlotModuleIn.

The notfication nbsCmmcTrapSlotModuleIn should be issued once the lock has been cleared (see nbsCmmcSlotClearType).

What is nbsCmmcSysLockTypes?

When enabled(3), restricts the system to only allow configuration writes to a slot or port if the module actually installed matches its previously configured type, issuing nbsCmmcTrapSlotModuleLocked instead of nbsCmmcTrapSlotModuleIn for a mismatched module. Admins use nbsCmmcSlotClearType to release the lock if they intentionally swap in a different card type.
