Description: The SNMP Agent Administrative value of the Default Gateway.
This value is stored in the system NVRAM. The current operational Default Gateway IP Adress may be obtained by accessing ipRouteNextHop object of the 0.0.0.0 entry in the ipRouteTable.
If the system has no current operational Default Gateway IP Address, then this value takes effect immediately. Otherwise it will take effect after a system reset.
What is nbsCmmcSysDefaultGateway?
This object stores the configured default gateway IP address used by the system for routing packets to unknown destinations; it persists in non-volatile memory and may take effect after a system reset. Network administrators set this value to define the next-hop router for out-of-subnet traffic, establishing the primary route for external network access. The value can be modified at any time via SNMP.
