alertErrEnable

Module: NAT

OID (symbolic): NAT::alertErrEnable

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.86.2.6.2.4.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

What is alertErrEnable?

This MIB has zero DESCRIPTION clauses, so this reading is inferred from the off(0)/on(1) enumeration and read-write access. Setting it to on(1) turns on error-rate alerting, so the device will flag when the overall error rate exceeds alertErrThreshold. An admin enables this as a general link-health watchdog, independent of the specific error-type breakdown alerts.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.86.2.6.2.4.1
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> NAT::alertErrEnable

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.86.2.6.2.4.1.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> NAT::alertErrEnable.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.86.2.6.2.4.1.1 i <value>
