mdmNumber

Module: Modem-MIB

OID (symbolic): Modem-MIB::mdmNumber

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.38.1.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-only

Description: The number of modem rows in the modem table. This value defines the maximum value of the mdmIndex object.

What is mdmNumber?

Reports how many modem rows exist in the modem table, which sets the valid upper bound for mdmIndex; an admin reads this first to know how many modems this agent is managing before walking the rest of the table.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.38.1.1.1
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> Modem-MIB::mdmNumber

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.38.1.1.1.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> Modem-MIB::mdmNumber.1

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> mdmNumber.1
