Description: The contribution of this port to the path cost of paths towards the spanning tree root which include this port. 802.1D-1990 recommends that the default value of this parameter be in inverse proportion to the speed of the attached LAN.
What is mBrdgStpPortPathCost?
This read-write value sets this port's contribution to the total path cost toward the spanning tree root, conventionally set in inverse proportion to the attached LAN's speed. An admin lowers this on a faster uplink port so STP prefers it over a slower alternate path.
