Description: The value that all bridges use for HelloTime when this bridge is acting as the root. The granularity of this timer is specified by 802.1D- 1990 to be 1 second. An agent may return a badValue error if a set is attempted to a value which is not a whole number of seconds.
What is mBrdgStpBridgeHelloTime?
This read-write setting configures the HelloTime that all bridges would adopt if this bridge entity becomes root, in hundredths of a second (100-1000, i.e. 1-10 seconds), and must be a whole number of seconds. An admin tunes this when preparing a bridge to serve as STP root, balancing faster convergence against additional BPDU overhead.
