Description: MPC-p6 Hold Down Time Minimum time to wait before reinitiating a failed resolution attempt. Default is mpcRetryTimeMaximum * 4.

What is mpcHoldDownTime?

This is the MPC-p6 hold-down period, in seconds, that the client must wait before it will attempt to re-resolve a shortcut that previously failed; it defaults to four times mpcRetryTimeMaximum (160 seconds by default). It prevents an MPC from hammering the network with repeated resolution attempts for a flow that just failed.
