This integer, ranging from 1 to 60, sets how often the WAN Ethernet Backup application polls its destination to check reachability. Administrators tune it to balance responsiveness against network overhead, since a low value polls more frequently and detects a failed link faster. The MIB documents a default of 5, meaning the router checks the destination roughly every five polling intervals rather than constantly or only once a minute.
