Module: MITEL-DHCP-MIB

OID (symbolic): MITEL-DHCP-MIB::mitelDhcpServerGeneralRefDhcpServer

Description: Indicates if unknown requested options values should be obtained from another DHCP server (if possible). Adequate values are: - a specific IP address of a known DHCP server - a IP address specifiying the interface on which the DHCP server should be found (using broadcast). i.e. 0.0.0.x where x is the interface logical ID. - 255.255.255.255: broadcast on all interfaces. - 0.0.0.0: the feature is disabled.

What is mitelDhcpServerGeneralRefDhcpServer?

This tells the local DHCP server whether and where to forward requests for option values it can't itself supply: a specific DHCP server's IP address, an address like 0.0.0.x to broadcast on a given interface, 255.255.255.255 to broadcast on all interfaces, or 0.0.0.0 to disable the behavior entirely. An admin uses this to let the router's DHCP server fall back to a central server for options it doesn't have configured locally.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> MITEL-DHCP-MIB::mitelDhcpServerGeneralRefDhcpServer

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1027.4.8.1.3.5.1.3.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> MITEL-DHCP-MIB::mitelDhcpServerGeneralRefDhcpServer.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1027.4.8.1.3.5.1.3.1 a <value>
