mnUdpTunnelKeepaliveInterval

Module: MIP-UDPTUNNEL-MIB

OID (symbolic): MIP-UDPTUNNEL-MIB::mnUdpTunnelKeepaliveInterval

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.44.4.1.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-write

Description: Defines the default NAT keepalive interval that the mobile node will use in the case that the HA does not impose another value by setting the Keepalive Interval in the UDP Tunnel Reply Extension.

What is mnUdpTunnelKeepaliveInterval?

This value, in seconds, sets the default NAT keepalive interval the Mobile Node uses to keep its UDP tunnel mapping alive through the NAT, unless the home agent imposes a different value via the UDP Tunnel Reply Extension. Admins shorten it for NAT devices with aggressive, short UDP mapping timeouts, or leave it at the RFC-recommended default for typical NAT behavior. The default 110 seconds sends a keepalive roughly every 110 seconds unless overridden; setting it to 30 would send keepalives much more frequently for a NAT known to time out mappings quickly.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.44.4.1.1.3
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> MIP-UDPTUNNEL-MIB::mnUdpTunnelKeepaliveInterval

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.44.4.1.1.3.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> MIP-UDPTUNNEL-MIB::mnUdpTunnelKeepaliveInterval.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.44.4.1.1.3.1 i <value>
