faUdpTunnelEnable

Module: MIP-UDPTUNNEL-MIB

OID (symbolic): MIP-UDPTUNNEL-MIB::faUdpTunnelEnable

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.44.4.1.3.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TruthValue

Access: read-write

Description: This parameter enables and disables the RFC 3519 UDP tunneling function in the FA completely.

What is faUdpTunnelEnable?

This TruthValue flag globally enables or disables RFC 3519 UDP tunneling support for NAT traversal on the Foreign Agent (FA). Admins disable it on a foreign agent that should not participate in UDP tunneling, requiring mobile nodes visiting it to use other traversal methods. The default value true keeps UDP tunneling available on the FA; setting it to false disables the feature entirely on that foreign agent.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.44.4.1.3.1
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> MIP-UDPTUNNEL-MIB::faUdpTunnelEnable

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.44.4.1.3.1.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> MIP-UDPTUNNEL-MIB::faUdpTunnelEnable.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.44.4.1.3.1.1 s <value>
