OID (symbolic): MERIDIAN2-MIB::gpsRefPosSource

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.13827.14.2.27

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: DisplayString

Access: read-only

Description: ASCII string indicating the source of the GPS antenna reference position. It is one of: USR (user-supplied), AVG (automatically determined by averaging thousands of 3-D position fixes), DYN (current un-averaged 3-D position fix, operation is in dynamic mode), UNK (unknown).

What is gpsRefPosSource?

An ASCII code (USR, AVG, DYN, or UNK) identifying how gpsReferencePosition was derived: user-supplied, automatically averaged from thousands of fixes, a current unaveraged fix in dynamic mode, or unknown. Checking this alongside gpsReferencePosition tells an admin whether the reference position is a stable long-term average or a live, less precise fix.
