gpsFaultNibble0Status

Module: MERIDIAN2-MIB

OID (symbolic): MERIDIAN2-MIB::gpsFaultNibble0Status

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.13827.14.2.71

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Bits

Access: read-only

Description: This is a bit string contained in one character representing the least significant nibbles of the GPS fault status word. Unfortunately, SNMP numbers the bits in the reverse order, so that the enumerated values are backwards from the description contained in the User's Manual for the fault status field returned by the gpsstat command. Each bit indicates a fault when set. Currently defined fault states encoded in this value:

Bit 3: DAC controlling the TCXO is near the high or low limit. Bit 2: Time Figure of Merit has been >= TFOM Fault Level for 1 hour. Bit 1: Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) did not configure properly. Bit 0: FLASH memory had a write fault.

What is gpsFaultNibble0Status?

A BITS value giving the least-significant nibble of the current GPS fault status word: DAC near limit, FPGA config fault, TFOM at fault level for an hour, and flash write fault, each bit set when that fault is active. This and the other three fault nibbles are the recommended replacement for the deprecated gpsFaultStatus/gpsFault2Status objects when polling via snmpget.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.13827.14.2.71
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> MERIDIAN2-MIB::gpsFaultNibble0Status

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.13827.14.2.71.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> MERIDIAN2-MIB::gpsFaultNibble0Status.1
