gpsAGC

Module: MERIDIAN2-MIB

OID (symbolic): MERIDIAN2-MIB::gpsAGC

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.13827.14.2.11

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: Current 8 bit, Automatic Gain Control (AGC) DAC value. Typical values are around 150, but antenna cable length, preamplifiers and signal splitters will affect this parameter. More positive values have the effect of increasing the RF gain.

What is gpsAGC?

The current 8-bit Automatic Gain Control DAC value (0-255) the receiver is applying to the incoming GPS RF signal; typical values are around 150, and cable length, preamplifiers, and splitters in the antenna path shift this figure, with higher values meaning more RF gain is being applied to compensate for a weaker signal.
