Description: This is an ASCII string showing the time mode of operation for any optional IRIG timecode outputs or the optional front panel vacuum fluorescent display. It DOES NOT indicate the time mode of the Linux OS clock or the NTP sub-system. Both of these are ALWAYS UTC.
It can be LOCAL, GPS or UTC.
What is gntpTimeMode?
An ASCII string (LOCAL, GPS, or UTC) showing the time mode used only for optional IRIG timecode outputs or the front-panel display; the DESCRIPTION is explicit that this does NOT affect the Linux OS clock or the NTP subsystem, which are always UTC regardless of this setting.
