Module: MANTRA-MIB

OID (symbolic): MANTRA-MIB::moduleSummary

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1751.1.1198.99.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: DisplayString

Access: read-only

Description: A short summary of the status of the mantra software modules. This is provided as a convenience variable to the administrator, so he can see everything at a glance without polling each component separately. Processes can be in one of the four states: 0 - not started, 1 - in the process of starting up, 2 - up, but inactive (only one process in a fail-over group is active at a time) 3 - up, and active 4 - died (on its own) 5 - stopped, i.e. by some command

What is moduleSummary?

This read-only string gives a short, at-a-glance summary of the status of all Mantra software modules, so an admin can see everything without polling each component separately, with each process reported in one of six states: not started, starting up, up-but-inactive (standby in a fail-over group), up-and-active, died on its own, or stopped by command. Admins use it as a first-look health dashboard before drilling into individual processes for troubleshooting. Seeing a process reported as died(4) in this summary would immediately flag which softswitch component crashed unexpectedly and needs attention.
