eOversizePkts

Module: LANtern-MIB

OID (symbolic): LANtern-MIB::eOversizePkts

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.23.2.1.2.14

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Counter

Access: read-only

Description: The total number of oversize packets received by the network controller since counter initialization. An oversize packet is one that is longer than 1518 octets (including CRC) and is otherwise well-formed.

What is eOversizePkts?

Count of otherwise well-formed frames over 1518 octets (including CRC); on a strict classic-Ethernet segment this typically means a misconfigured NIC rather than a legitimate jumbo frame, since this 1991-era MIB predates jumbo/VLAN framing.
