eHostNewHostAlarm
Module: LANtern-MIB
OID (symbolic): LANtern-MIB::eHostNewHostAlarm
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.23.2.1.2.25
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: If enabled, the LANtern network monitor generates a newHost trap whenever a new host first transmits on the network segment. Note that eHostNewHostAlarm is NOT stored in nonvolatile RAM, and returns to its default setting whenever the LANtern network monitor is reset (or powered-on).
What is eHostNewHostAlarm?
Enables/disables the newHost trap that fires the first time a previously-unseen host transmits on the segment; unlike most adminXxx-style settings this one is NOT saved in nonvolatile RAM, so it resets to disabled(1) on every power cycle.
