Module: LAN-EMULATION-CLIENT-MIB

OID (symbolic): LAN-EMULATION-CLIENT-MIB::lecVccTimeoutPeriod

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.353.5.3.1.1.1.1.12

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-create

Description: C12 VCC Time-out Period. A LE Client SHOULD release any Data Direct VCC that it has not used to transmit or receive any data frames for the length of the VCC Time-out Period. This parameter is only meaningful for SVC Data Direct VCCs.

This time value is expressed in seconds. The default value is 20 minutes. A value of 0 seconds means that the timeout period is infinite. Negative values will be rejected by the agent.

What is lecVccTimeoutPeriod?

This read-create OID sets, in seconds, how long a Data Direct VCC can sit idle before the LE Client releases it, defaulting to 1200 (20 minutes); 0 means the timeout is infinite. An admin tunes this to balance ATM resource usage against connection setup overhead for bursty traffic.
