lecConfigMaxDataFrameSize

Module: LAN-EMULATION-CLIENT-MIB

OID (symbolic): LAN-EMULATION-CLIENT-MIB::lecConfigMaxDataFrameSize

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.353.5.3.1.1.1.1.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: LecDataFrameSize

Access: read-create

Description: C3 Maximum Data Frame Size.

The maximum data frame size which this client will use the next time it returns to the Initial State.

Auto-configuring clients use this parameter in their Configure requests. Manually-configured clients use it in their Join requests.

This MIB object will not be overwritten with the new value from a LE_{JOIN,CONFIGURE}_RESPONSE. Instead, lecActualMaxDataFrameSize will be.

What is lecConfigMaxDataFrameSize?

This read-create OID sets the maximum AAL-5 data frame size (e.g. 1516 or 9234 octets) a LAN Emulation Client will use the next time it restarts; the value actually negotiated is reported via lecActualMaxDataFrameSize. An admin sets this to match the frame size supported across the rest of the emulated LAN.
