juniSnmpIntfCompRestricted

Module: Juniper-SNMP-MIB

OID (symbolic): Juniper-SNMP-MIB::juniSnmpIntfCompRestricted

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.4874.2.2.16.1.1.3.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: JuniSnmpIntfCompRestrictedMask

Access: read-write

Description: This object governs which interface instances appear to SNMP management clients that use the standard ifTable, ifXTable and ifStackTable. The control is based on a set of interface restrictions defined by JuniSnmpInterfaceModeRestrictedMask.

For each bit position in each octet of the string, a '1' or '0' controls whether an interface instance that matches the restriction is removed or included in the standard interface MIB tables. For example, setting the value of this object to 1 will remove all interface instances with an ifAdminStatus of down(2).

In each octet, bit 0 is least significant, bit 7 most significant.

What is juniSnmpIntfCompRestricted?

A bitmask of interface restrictions (currently only 'ifAdminStatus down') controlling which interface instances are hidden from the standard interface tables; setting bit 0 removes all admin-down interfaces from view.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.4874.2.2.16.1.1.3.4
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> Juniper-SNMP-MIB::juniSnmpIntfCompRestricted

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.4874.2.2.16.1.1.3.4.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> Juniper-SNMP-MIB::juniSnmpIntfCompRestricted.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.4874.2.2.16.1.1.3.4.1 s <value>
