ptpMode
Module: Jetnet4508V2
OID (symbolic): Jetnet4508V2::ptpMode
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.24062.2.2.17.2.4.4.2
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: Set PTP mode: Auto: Auto select master or slave. Master: Act as PTP master. Master: Act as PTP slave.
What is ptpMode?
This sets the switch's PTP role: auto(1) to automatically negotiate master or slave, master(2) to force it to act as the PTP time source, or slave(3) to force it to synchronize to another master. An admin designates one core switch as master(2) and others as slave(3) to build a deterministic PTP time-distribution hierarchy.
