Module: JUNIPER-SECURE-ACCESS-PORT-MIB

OID (symbolic): JUNIPER-SECURE-ACCESS-PORT-MIB::jnxSecAccessIfMacLimitExceed

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2636.3.40.1.2.1.1.2.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

What is jnxSecAccessIfMacLimitExceed?

This read-only value specifies the action the switch takes on this interface once the number of learned MAC addresses exceeds jnxSecAccessIfMacLimit, and per the source DESCRIPTION only takes effect when that limit is not set to 0. An admin checks it to confirm how the switch responds to a MAC-flooding attempt or an unauthorized hub being plugged into a limited access port. For example, an admin might expect this to be configured to shut the port down or drop excess traffic once a port's five-MAC limit is exceeded.
