jnxSecAccessIfMacLimit

Module: JUNIPER-SECURE-ACCESS-PORT-MIB

OID (symbolic): JUNIPER-SECURE-ACCESS-PORT-MIB::jnxSecAccessIfMacLimit

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2636.3.40.1.2.1.1.2.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-only

Description: This object specifies the threshold limit for the number of MAC address entries on this interface.

When the instance value of this object is set to 0, no threshold limit will be applied for this interfacew and the corresponding instance value of jnxIfMacLimitExceedAction of the same row has no effect.

What is jnxSecAccessIfMacLimit?

This read-only value specifies the threshold limit for the number of MAC address entries allowed on this interface, with 0 meaning no threshold is applied and defaulting to 5. An admin checks it to confirm port security is constraining how many distinct MAC addresses (and thus, indirectly, how many devices) can be learned on an access port. For example, leaving this at the default of 5 would allow up to five MAC addresses to be learned on a port before jnxSecAccessIfMacLimitExceed's configured action is triggered.
